Annie Mitra
About the artist
Annie Mitra grew up in Highgate, North London and has lived South of the River for the past 20 years. She studied Art in both Paris and New York where she earned her B.F.A in Communication Design and Illustration, from Parsons School of Design. Annie followed up with post graduate studies at the School of Visual Arts,NYC. where she lived for several years. It was here that she wrote and illustrated the first of several children’s books.
She has also worked in ceramic and textile design with Conran NY; The Body Shop & Whittard of Chelsea among her clients.
Her work has been exhibited in N.Y.C; The Children’s Museum Brooklyn NY. and London.
When she is not painting or teaching Art at a local school, she enjoys walking her dog on Barnes Common.
