Helen Pettigrew

About the artist

Born in 1974, educated at King’s College London and the Courtauld Institute of Art, I worked in various industries from banking to publishing before returning to my original passion in 2007.  In this time I have worked solidly on various private commissions and building a portfolio of limited edition prints inspired by our beautiful stretch of the River Thames.

While my commissions are predominantly in watercolour, I also work in various other media including oil painting, pouring acrylic, and drawing with pastel or charcoal. My style is often detailed and meticulous, but you can sometimes find me dressed in a boiler suit, armed with spray cans, painting large-scale murals for schools, restaurants and hotels.
