Lujain Razouki

About the artist

Lujain draws her inspiration from ancient drawings and relief works of ancient civilisations.

Her work in glass aims to bridge the present with the past in a contemporary and timeless way. Lujain’s qualifications include a BA in Fine Art and Glass, with Glass and Architecture achieved at Central Saint Martins, in addition to a Diploma in Access to Art
and Design. In early 2019, Lujain’s unique technique in working with glass was successfully patented.

Over the years, she has been widening her expertise, dealing with warm and cold glass, acid-etching, sand blasting, engraving, screen-printing, fusing, slumping, painting, casting, gilding, copper foiling, and leading, as well as other techniques related to architectural glass.

Although she specialises in glass, Lujain loves working with other mediums with which texture is created – especially clay work. Lujain has participated in several exhibitions, some of which are with Holland Park Orangery, Konooze Fine Art Auction, and the
Glaziers Art Fair, where one of her pieces is being exhibited permanently.
